PROJECT UKRAINE

Finishing Module 1 of the New Challenges-2 coursebook the 6th grade students were divided into several teams to work on informational posters about Ukraine. The output was tremendous! Of course, some were more efficient than the others, some tended to ignore their teams and work independently, some did not understand what was happening in the first place... It was very interesting to watch all the developments, and a real honor to see the results (some of them are still there - on your way to the gym). You can see the most successful participants in these photos:

YET MORE ENGLISH LITERATURE PROJECTS

The time has come for you to get acquainted with life and literary activities of the first commercially successful English author of adventure books. Upon reading Stevenson's Treasure Island he bet one shilling he could write a book not less (or even more) successful. The name is Rider Haggard, the book is King Solomon's Mines. The material is presented to you by Kate BILYK (Group 34-H) HERE . Thank you, Kate!

MORE ENGLISH LITERATURE PROJECTS

Today I would like to share with you some results of the research done by Anna GAVRILUK from Group 34-H.  Her choice was Michael Morpurgo - the author whose works are not studied at school because... theoretically you can invite Sir Michael to participate in your lesson. He is a modern English writer who is sometimes said to write books for children about animals. But I don't think so. Take a look HERE and make up your own mind.

ENGLISH LITERATURE PROJECTS-2014

With great pleasure I would like to present to your kind attention some of the best materials prepared by the students of Group 34-H as their concluding effort in studying English Literature. The first is the one done by Larisa VYSOKOVSKA. She presents the life story of George Orwell, one of the finest and most bitter English writers, whose understanding of the 20th century helps to see things through in the 21st. You can read her presentation HERE .

To continue the studying of English Literature I am ready to present two new chapters from the coursebook. These parts have been created in cooperation with the Lycee students who graduated in 2013. The chapter telling about Jane Austen is based on the project work by Daria KRASNOVYCH, while Charles Dickens's life and literary activities were studied by Karina DRESHPAN.

MY FAVORITE TEACHER

Better late than never... However, I am glad to present our traditional annual project work. This time it was done by the students of Group 34-Ph eager to share their feelings about the educators of Naukova Zmina Lycee.

"...Every teacher of our educational institution is worthy of respect, for the reason that each of them has their own merits... The teachers of the Lycee are still excited and enthusiastic about their occupation; every morning they open classrooms in expectation of a new day full of fun and bright emotions..." (From Anna GAVRILYUK's essay)
